Monday morning arrives, and you already feel behind. You’re not behind, of course—you’re booked solid. So many folks are dealing with parenting, caretaking, relationships, life demands, health needs, and so much more. So take a breath, exhale, and come join me for my Monday Morning accountability group.
Over the years I have talked with hundreds of business owners who are also parents, and the same thing comes up again and again. The problem is rarely knowing what to do. It is getting to it, and doing it without feeling alone. It is not that you lack discipline. It is that you are tired, you have very few uninterrupted hours, and nobody is waiting to see whether you do the work.
That is why a few friends and I started a small Monday morning group.
Monday morning: we start the week together
We are a group of founders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and non-traditional job makers who need more water cooler time together. Every Monday at 11am Eastern (8am Pacific), we meet for a focused hour of planning, accountability, and getting things done.
This is not about squeezing more productivity out of yourself. It is about having a place to pause, look at the week ahead, decide what actually matters, and make a commitment in the company of other people. Our practice is simple: choose what matters, say it out loud, and get moving.
Each Monday, we:
Check in and take stock of where we are.
Name the one to three things that matter most this week.
Connect to our bigger-picture goals.
Identify what is getting in the way, or what support we need.
Set a clear commitment for the week ahead.
Spend some time actually doing the thing, so you leave Monday already in motion.
Come back the following week and reflect: what happened, what did I learn, and what is next?
Use it for business goals, creative projects, writing, job searching, life admin, health routines, or simply the thing you keep putting off. The goal is to keep showing up.
Who this is for
This is for tired parents, mothers, and caregivers who have meaningful work to do and not much room to do it in, and for the founders, creatives, and people building their own kind of job who do not have an office full of colleagues to start the week with.
You might be running a business, writing a book, freelancing, job searching, or quietly building something on the side while holding a family together. You might be a mom who has been told to find balance and has never once been given the time. If you are carrying a lot and want to begin the week with company instead of dread, you belong here.
What matters is not your title. It is that you are kind, curious, and willing to show up and say what you are working on. You do not need to be good at this, and you do not need to have it figured out.
How to join
Fill out this short form. I would love to know a little about you, what you would like some accountability around, and why you would like to join us.
If you have a question first, you can email me at sarah@startupparent.com.
And if you know a tired parent, a mother, or a caregiver who would love this, please send them the link. Forward this essay or tell them to meet you there. It is more fun with friends.
One last thing
I have spent years in rooms with people who are doing a lot at once, and the thing that helps most is rarely a new system. It is company. A little structure, a warm room, and an hour that belongs to you. So fill out the form, bring your coffee on Monday, and bring the thing you have been putting off. We will get it started together.
Cheers to small starts and steady company. 💛

I love this!!! And I am so curious to learn more about the behind the scenes of building the community – especially the learnings from your first cohort and how you are adjusting as you grow into your second cohort. And how you're thinking about continuing to engage the folks who applied but have not been admitted yet. I love that you're focused on slow, sustainable growth for this community!
